You need to feel confident with the person you are dealing with as well as the debt settlement company. If they are extremely pushy and trying to get you to sign a document within the first 10 to 15 minutes of the conversation you need to be careful. This is not a decision you want to dive into head first and stay out of debt for the rest of your life.
