Remo & me
I have often been asked about my favorite musical instrument. I spent seventeen years travelling around Africa shooting big game in the 1960’s and 70’s but I also used the time to research tribal practices. And it is this latter obsession of mine that has led people to ask me the question about my musical proclivities. And every time I am asked this I can say with an open, honest heart that the Remo djembe
is the best drum and the best musical instrument in the world. If you have never watched the tribes people beat this drum repeatedly with their fists, over and over again you have missed a great drumming treat. Shooting animals is fun but not nearly as much fun as this. And that is why I became a vegetarian and concentrated on expanding my musical knowledge. I hope this has helped you to expand yours.
